International Symposium 16 - Research Frontiers in Next Generation Computational Intelligence

Chair: Arpana Rawal
Professor Department of Computer Science and Engineering,
Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg Chhattisgarh, INDIA – 491001

Aim: Computational Intelligence (CI) is a set of biological and linguistic tools to address complex real-world problems where traditional approaches may not be very effective. CI provides a vigorous forum that stimulates academic and industrial research in artificial intelligence realm. While huge academic research has been done in CI since last 50 years, industrial and real world applications are still incipient. The symposium shall uncover theory and applications of computational intelligence in the fields of engineering, computer science and life sciences.

Topics: The topics in computational intelligence span the areas of neural networks, connectionist systems, genetic algorithms, evolutionary computation, artificial intelligence, cellular automata, self-organizing systems, soft computing, fuzzy systems, and hybrid intelligent systems. Apart from discussing the state-of-the-art developments, challenges and unsolved open problems in the field of CI, exposure shall be given upon the popular upcoming streams in CI:
- Computer and Information Science: Knowledge Computing: Reasoning methodologies, Knowledge Engineering, Document Engineering, Knowledge Integration , Knowledge Management
- Advances in Soft Computing and Machine Learning
- Developments and Advances in Intelligent Systems and Applications
- Intelligent Computations: Abstract Fractional Calculus, Inequalities, Approximations
- Computational Science/Intelligence and Applied Informatics
- Advances in Knowledge Discovery and Management
- Nature Inspired Optimization Algorithms
- Artificial Immune Systems
- Advanced Optimization tasks
